Buchanan- Just as Christmas shopping was getting into full swing, the Buchanan Fall into Winter Trade Show was held on Saturday, Nov 15 at the Community Centre. The event was considered a "big hit", according to the vendors and visitors in attendance.
The only real setback, according to attendees, was not enough food. Turns out the appeal of Filipino cuisine was so strong that there wasn't enough of it to go around for everyone.
Seen as a learning curve, the "Buchanan crew" aims to move forward with a positive perspective.
Organizer Millie Zeiler says she's encouraged to work with her "awesome team of local talent" to do this again next year. She also hinted everyone should be "on the lookout" for a possible Spring into Summer trade show in May, preferably in adjunction with its annual community-wide garage sale event.
