The fields are taking shape for Saskatchewan’s premier men’s and women’s curling championships, both scheduled for January 5–11, 2026, at the CN Community Centre in Melville.
Following four months of tour play, six men’s teams have locked up direct spots in the SaskTel Tankard. CTRS qualifiers include Team Knapp of Regina’s Highland Curling Club, Team DeConinck Smith from Fox Valley, and Team Laycock out of Swift Current. From the SaskCTRS standings, Team Kalthoff and Team Kleiter of Saskatoon’s Nutana Curling Club and Team Moser (Martensville) have also earned berths.
Three more men’s teams will join them through the Last Chance Event, running December 11–14 at the Humboldt Curling Club. The Tankard winner will advance to the 2026 Montana’s Brier in St. John’s, NL.
On the women’s side, six rinks have secured early entry into the Bunge Prairie Pinnacle. SWCT leaders Team Miller and Team Campbell of Regina’s Highland, along with Team Barker from Moose Jaw, have qualified. Through the CTRS, Team Martin and Team Thevenot (both Martensville) and Team Just (Esterhazy) round out the automatic berths.
Women’s teams still seeking entry will compete at the Last Chance Event, December 12–14 in Weyburn. The Prairie Pinnacle champion will represent Saskatchewan at the 2026 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Mississauga.
Tickets for both provincial championships are available at tickets.curlsask.ca.
