A new court date has been set for a man charged in an alleged assault on the Standing Buffalo First Nation.
On June 22, 2021, Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP responded to a report of an injured woman at a home on the reserve, and she was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
From April 24th through May 5th, 24-year-old Christopher Maple, of the Standing Buffalo First Nation, stood trial-by-judge on a charge of Attempted Murder.
Maple was back in Regina Court of King’s Bench on Friday (May 12), where closing arguments were set for May 25th.
