New court date set for man arrested in two separate Dauphin drug and weapon busts

A man charged in connection with two separate drug and weapon busts in Dauphin, has appeared in court again.

57-year-old Lorne McKinnon was in Dauphin Provincial Court yesterday (Mon), where he had his matters adjourned to Friday.

In November of 2023, Dauphin RCMP conducted a traffic stop in the city, and a search of the vehicle turned up weapons, 90 grams of cocaine, a small amount of crystal meth, prescription drugs, ammunition, and cash.

Then, in January of 2024, Mounties conducted another traffic stop in Dauphin, and a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 18 grams of cocaine, 80 oxycodone pills, cash, other prescription medication, a knife, and drug paraphernalia.
