The Melville Millionaires saw their six-game points streak come to an end Saturday night with a 6–3 home loss to the Estevan Bruins, one night after beating Estevan 5–1.
SJHL scoring leader Ewan Rennie had a goal and two assists, while Noah Asmundson added two goals and an assist to lead the Bruins. Chase Holt, Rorey Elson, and Matthew Ronn also scored. Nathan Kam made 32 saves for the win. Wesley Golden, Hudson Binder, and Rylan Oatman replied for Melville, with Noah Sinagowtiz stopping 21 shots.
Melville visits Melfort on Wednesday, while Estevan wraps up its pre-Christmas schedule with a home-and-home against Yorkton starting Friday in Yorkton.
Elsewhere in the SJHL, Pierce Yakimchuk, Sam Ward, and Jack Martin each had a goal and an assist as Flin Flon rebounded with a 6–3 road win in Battlefords. Finn Werner made 29 saves.
Melfort edged Humboldt 3–2 in overtime after Zayden Sadlmyer tied it late and Kaleb Binner scored the winner. In Kindersley, Brett O’Halloran made 24 saves as the Klippers beat Nipawin 2–1, with goals from Russ Demo and Pryce Thiessen. And in Warman, Weyburn erupted for six third-period goals to erase a three-goal deficit and defeat the Wolverines 7–5.
