PREECEVILLE — Christmas traditions surrounded the little village of Hazel Dell during a classic Christmas craft sale that warmed many hearts on Nov. 29.
Christmas in the Dell was created by longtime resident Tammy Luciw and numerous volunteers. The event featured 16 vendors, all offering handmade items.
It also included a kids’ craft corner, a hot lunch and a holiday non-alcoholic festival beverage bar.
“The afternoon was just wonderful with bringing that old hometown vibe back, filled with nostalgic and holiday memories. We had over 200 people attend. Lots of positive comments about the venue atmosphere, delicious food and beverages, and reasonable prices. Vendors, some of whom were local, offered a wide variety of affordable handmade items.
“People who attended appeared to be enjoying connecting with friends and acquaintances, and all that the market had to offer. We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make it happen. We are thrilled with the outcome and hope to do it again next year,” stated Tammy Luciw, one of the organizers.
Vendors featured a wide variety of handmade items, including baking, knitted and crocheted goods, woodworking, Christmas wreaths and more. Vendors in attendance were Darlene Anderson; Bob and Colleen Bond; Larry Dunbar; Violet Gibb; Sherry Grayson; Eugenia Kennedy; Melanie Kovach; Kim Matychuk; Lorissa Petras; Jill Penner; Angela Scheller; Andrea Pottle; Judy Rutla; Cindy and Elsie Stein; Allison Tokarchuk; and Alisa and Michelle Worobetz.
