Yorkton Fire Chief Trevor Morrissey has issued a Fire Restrictions Notice for the City of Yorkton effective immediately.
All open fire pit usage will only be permitted between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. until further notice.
This restriction does not apply to BBQ’s, propane, natural gas or briquette’s. Also, to visit the City of Yorkton’s website at www.yorkton.ca to keep updated on any changes.
A fire ban is also effective immediately for the R.M. of Orkney and the R.M. of Wallace until further notice.
