The Yorkton Terriers jumped out to a five-goal lead and held off a late Bruins push for a 5–2 victory in Estevan.
Callum Creig was solid in goal with 35 saves, while Gabriel Courchesne led the offence with two goals and an assist and Tylan Henrikson, Evan Auld and Jye Zawatsky who recorded his 100th career point also scored.
Chase Holt and Noah Asmundson replied for the Bruins.
The Terriers return to action on Fri. Jan 3rd hosting the Melville Millionaires.
Elsewhere in the SJHL, Gage Roberts turned aside all 43 shots he faced for his second shutout of the season as Nipawin blanked Melfort 5–0, with five different Hawks finding the scoresheet.
And in Flin Flon, Wyatt Stinton and Maverick Deslisle each scored twice as the Bombers rolled past La Ronge 8–3, finishing the calendar year this season with a perfect 13–0 at home.
Those games wrapped up SJHL action ahead of the Christmas break.
