What day is it? Honestly… I have no idea. We’re right in that weird stretch of time between Christmas and New Year’s where the calendar feels more like a suggestion than a rule. Every year around now, I completely lose track of what day of the week it is. Monday feels like Saturday, Thursday feels like Sunday. Please tell me I’m not the only one.
There’s something about this time of year that just throws everything off. The holidays blur together, routines disappear, and suddenly time has no meaning. You wake up, and ask yourself, “Wait… is it a weekday?” It’s comforting and confusing all at the same time.
The good news for me is I only have one more day of work left after today before I get a week off, and I’m pretty excited about that. There’s nothing quite like knowing a stretch of freedom is right around the corner.
I don’t have a big plan mapped out yet, and honestly, that’s part of the appeal. I’m hoping it includes some ice fishing, maybe getting out on the snowmobile, plenty of relaxing, and definitely watching some hockey. No alarms, no rushing—just enjoying the downtime and recharging a bit before the calendar flips to a new year.
So if you’re also staring at your phone or calendar wondering what day it is, you’re not alone. Enjoy the weird in-between days… they don’t last long.
