Swan Valley Food Bank
We kicked off the donations this Christmas season by making our first to the Swan Valley Food Bank. We have been fortunate enough to partner with businesses in Swan River since 2012, having us in the community selling the GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook. 2025 marks the 9th year of donations going back to Swan River, specifically the Swan Valley Food Bank bringing our total of donated money to $9,000.00. Over the years I have had the pleasure of meeting a few different Directors of the Swan Valley Food Bank, and it has been lovely to see Phyllis Hunt, the past few years in a row now.
The most recent business to sponsor the GX94 Christmas Goodies Cookbook in Swan River is The Empty Bobbin. Julie’s enthusiasm for our cookbook is infectious and I’m so grateful for her sponsorship for the past 4 years. Listeners from all over the Swan Valley make their way to her store. One in particular, Audrey, who has been sending me recipes for the cookbook from the very beginning, I’m always so happy to see. Every year she brings me baking. This year she changed it up with the most delicious savory appetizer, which will definitely be in next year’s cookbook.
