Brandon Weiss and his rink from the Esterhazy Curling Club will be wearing Saskatchewan green at the 2026 Curling Canada Under-18 national championships.
Weiss captured the CurlSask U18 provincial boys championship Tuesday in Estevan, earning the right to represent the province at nationals next month in Timmins, Ontario.
The Esterhazy rink defeated Saskatoon’s Quinn Snow 9-4 in the gold-medal game, using the hammer to score multiple two-point ends and breaking the game open with a three-ender in the seventh.
Weiss was joined by third Josh Lussier, second Tyler Derksen and lead Carter Nelson. Earlier in the day, the Esterhazy Curling Club foursome advanced to the final with a 6-5 win over Moose Jaw’s Dayne Heisler in the 1-2 playoff.
The national championship runs February 8th to 15th at the McIntyre Curling Club in Timmins, Ontario, where Weiss and his rink will represent Saskatchewan on the national stage.
