Team SJHL earns memorable gold medal at Viking Cup

For the first time in 20 years, a Viking Cup champion was crowned.

Ethan Andrews of the Estevan Bruins scored the overtime winner to lead Team SJHL to a 5-4 victory over the SAIT Trojans on Saturday night in the Gold Medal game in Camrose, Alberta.

Yorkton Terrier captain Tylan Henrikson tied the game with 14.4 seconds in regulation while Anthony Campbell, Rylan Williams, Gavin Granger and Russ Demo also scored.

SJHL starter and Humboldt Bronco Brady Holtvogt stopped 26 shots in the win.
