I’m back at it after a few days off over the New Year, and I have to say—it was a fantastic recharge.
I didn’t get up to anything too crazy, and honestly, that’s exactly what I needed. Lots of relaxing, some quality time with family, plenty of hockey, and even a little indoor golf mixed in. Not a bad way to hit the reset button.
The indoor golf was especially fun. Just because it’s winter and there’s a ton of snow outside doesn’t mean we have to give up our summertime hobbies. My oldest and I managed to squeeze in a few rounds, and it felt great to be swinging the clubs again. It was funny how quickly everything came back to us too—we picked up right where we left off in the fall on the real course.
And by “picked up where we left off,” I mean he absolutely crushed me… just like normal. Some things never change.
All in all, it was the perfect break. Now it’s back to the routine, feeling refreshed, recharged, and already counting down the days until we can get back out on the real course.
