The Swan Valley Stampeders have made two roster moves, announcing a trade with the Melfort Mustangs and an acquisition from the Warman Wolverines.
The Stampeders have traded 19-year-old defenceman Darren Hunt to the Melfort Mustangs in exchange for 19-year-old forward Reis Nyland.
Hunt departs Swan Valley with 44 career points in 127 MJHL games over three seasons, including 18 goals and 26 assists from the blue line.
Nyland, a forward from La Glace, Alberta, joins the Stampeders after scoring five times and adding two assists in 25 games for the Mustangs.
In a second move, Swan Valley bolsters its defence by acquiring 19-year-old defenceman Wylie Smith from the Warman Wolverines in exchange for a player development fee.
Smith appeared in 31 games this season for Warman, contributing one goal and two assists for three points.
