Despite outshooting the Neepawa Titans 46–33, the Swan Valley Stampeders suffered a 4–1 road loss Wednesday night.
Cooper Kasprick led the way for Neepawa, recording his first career MJHL hat trick, capped off with an empty-net goal in the final minutes of the third period.
Ryder Heaphy opened the scoring for the Titans in the first period before Kasprick made it 2–0. Swan Valley responded when Trace Langan pulled the Stampeders within one with his ninth goal of the season, but Kasprick struck again late in the opening frame to give Neepawa a 3–1 lead heading into the intermission.
Zach Burleigh was a key difference in the Titans’ net, turning aside 45 shots to earn the win. At the other end, Easton Falls made 30 saves on 33 shots in the loss for Swan Valley.
The Stampeders will look to snap a three-game losing skid Friday night when they host the Waywayseecappo Wolverines. Meanwhile, the Titans head north for a weekend set in The Pas, beginning Friday against the Northern Manitoba Blizzard.
