Stumbled across a hidden Netflix gem: The Wrong Paris. If you missed it when it dropped last year, now’s the perfect time to give it a watch. Dawn, a small-town Texas artist, dreams of studying in Paris until money troubles hit. Her sister’s wild solution? Get her on a Bachelor-style reality show that will be filming in Paris… only Dawn ends up in the wrong Paris!
Cue a series of hilarious mix-ups as Dawn and her fellow contestants realize their Paris trip isn’t quite what they expected. Any disappointment disappears fast once the bachelor appears (think lots of abs and even more laughs). It’s like Hallmark, but with a bit more edge and comedy to it.
The country music soundtrack sets the perfect mood too, and Breland’s cameo was such a cool surprise to see on screen. The Texas vibes bring so much warmth and charm, you’d hardly even recognize the movie was actually filmed right here in Canada in Vancouver, BC. The house was featured on the TV show Riverdale, while the one of the farms and farmhouse were featured on Smallville.
Also, seeing Miranda Cosgrove and Madison Pettis in totally new roles is a blast for anyone who grew up watching them on iCarly and Corey In The House. If you’re looking for something funny, lighthearted, and sweet, The Wrong Paris is a great pick for your next movie night!
