REGINA — A former Yorkton man charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a one-year-old girl in Regina has appeared in court again.
Twenty-five-year-old Bailey Peepeetch was originally arrested for aggravated assault in October of 2020, but the charge was upgraded when the girl died two days later.
Peepeetch had his case heard Jan. 16 in Regina Court of King's Bench, where it was adjourned to May 12.
Regina Police say the investigation began when they were called to a hospital for a report of a critically injured child, and that the injuries were suspected to be the result of physical abuse.
