Gabriel Courchesne scored his league-leading sixth game-winning goal of the season with 1:34 left in regulation as the Yorkton Terriers edged the Kindersley Klippers 5–3 Friday night at Westland Insurance Arena.
Five different Terriers found the scoresheet, including Courchesne, Ryder McDonald, Vinay Junek, and Drew Heil. Defenceman Gavin Bartha led Yorkton offensively with a multi-point night.
Brett O’Halloran was strong in defeat for Kindersley, stopping 32 shots, while Callum Creig made 22 saves to earn the win for Yorkton. The two teams meet again Saturday night at 7:00.
In Flin Flon, the Bombers remained perfect at home, improving to 17–0 with a 2–1 win over Estevan. Reid Arberry and Connor Miller scored for Flin Flon, while Charlie Tritt made 27 saves on a day he announced his NCAA Division I commitment to Lake Superior State University.
In North Battleford, Cole Hines and Kobe Sawyer each scored twice as the North Stars survived a late surge to defeat La Ronge 7–6. The Ice Wolves scored five times in the third period after trailing 5–1. Jacob Morrison led La Ronge with two goals and an assist.
In Weyburn, Will Munro recorded his first career SJHL hat trick to power the Red Wings to a 6–4 win over Humboldt. Matthew Bradley made 44 saves in his debut with the Broncos, while Joey Rocha stopped 30 shots for Weyburn.
In Warman, the Nipawin Hawks shut out the Wolverines 6–0. Colten Scott turned aside 21 shots, Nipawin went 3-for-9 on the power play, and Konnor Watson scored his fourth goal in as many games.
