SASKATCHEWAN — An extreme cold warning was back in effect for parts of Saskatchewan, although it isn't as wide-reaching as the last advisory.
Environment Canada issued the latest advisory in the afternoon of Jan. 26. Communities in 96 RMs in southeast and east-central Saskatchewan are affected.
"A west-to-northwesterly flow of arctic air will bring very cold conditions to the region tonight," the advisory states.
An extreme cold warning was in effect from Jan. 21-25. Saskatchewan's four largest communities and more than 300 RMs were covered at one point.
The latest warning is also a yellow advisory, while the previous one was the more severe orange warning.
