CANORA- Five StarSkaters from the Canora Skating Club attended the Region 7, 8 & 9 Winterskate Competition in Wynyard and “We could not be more proud!” said Coach Rebecca Trost. “For most of these ladies it was their first competition. They came out with determination, poise, and grace. Well done!”
According to reports from the competition, “Coach Becca was there with all the support and guidance; she could be seen beaming from the coach’s corner during each and every performance.”
Canora skaters involved in the competition included: Chloee Abbott, Keira Owchar, Olivia Owchar, Harper Chernoff and Ashton Lamb.
“Everyone except for Ashton competed for the first time ever today,” said Trost. “It was Ashton’s second time competing. They all did awesome!”
Next up for these Canora Skating Club competitors is the Region 1 & 6 competition in Moosomin the weekend of February 14, 2026.
“Let's show them some love!” said Trost.
Another important date to keep in mind, the Canora Skating Club ice show is scheduled for March 15.
