Thomas Ries scored his second of the night with just 3.3 seconds left as the Yorkton Terriers edged the Estevan Bruins 5–4 at home Friday, extending their winning streak to five games.
Cash Lanigan, Aidan Vallance, and Jye Zawatsky also scored for Yorkton, while Callum Creig made 28 saves in the win. Drew Beasley, Bennett Muller, Nathaniel Harvey, and Oliver Kramp replied for Estevan, which has now dropped six straight.
The Terriers head to Melville on Saturday for a Highway 10 showdown at the CN Community Centre.
The Millionaires picked up a point but fell 3–2 in a shootout to Humboldt. Oliver Phillips scored in regulation and added the shootout winner, while Avery Lowe also scored in the tiebreaker. Rylan Hue forced overtime for the Broncos with 3:30 left in regulation. Alex Morrison and Hudson Binder scored for Melville. Matthew Bradley made 39 saves for the win, while Matthew Spencer-Dahl stopped 37 in the loss.
In Flin Flon, Wyatt Stinton netted the shootout winner in round five as the Bombers improved to 19–0 at home with a 3–2 win over Weyburn.
Battlefords doubled up Warman 8–5 on the road behind a four-point night from Drew Williamson. Kanyan Unger and Carter Bergen each had a goal and two assists for the Wolverines.
In Nipawin, Mason Karakochuk had two goals and an assist, Eric Hoiness added three points, and Gage Roberts made 26 saves for his second straight shutout in a 4–0 win over La Ronge.
Melfort moved closer to the playoff race with a 5–2 victory over Kindersley, as Kason Kobelka turned aside 34 shots.
