The Olympics are here again, and while cheering for our Canadian athletes is always fun, this year’s mascots, Tina and Milo, are stealing the show for me! Designed by talented students from Italy, these adorable characters represent the host cities Cortina and Milano, keeping a fun local vibe for the Games.
Tina is the Olympic mascot, and Milo represents the Paralympics. They are stoats, also called ermines, a type of weasel. Milo’s story is especially heartwarming. He was born without a leg, but doesn’t let that stop him, and uses his tail to help get around. Their playful personalities and inspiring backgrounds make them impossible not to love.
No matter how Team Canada does, Tina and Milo have already won the games in my eyes. Honestly, half the fun of watching the Games this year is seeing what these two get up to next!
