FORT QU’APPELLE — A male teen arrested in connection with a death on Star Blanket Cree Nation has made his first court appearance.
The boy, who cannot be named due to his age, was in Fort Qu’Appelle provincial court Feb. 19 charged with second-degree murder, and was remanded in custody to Feb. 26.
On Feb. 18, File Hills First Nations Police Service was called to a report of a homicide at a home on Star Blanket.
Officers found an adult male dead and arrested a male teen at the scene.
Police note the accused and the victim were known to each other.
