Another court appearance for Dauphin man, accused of break and enter and resisting arrest

A new court date has been set for a Dauphin man, arrested in connection with a residential break and enter in the city.

21-year-old Jacob Vermeylen was in Dauphin Provincial Court Friday, where he had his matters set over to March 24.

On January 15, Dauphin RCMP responded to a break and enter in progress at a home on Fifth Avenue Northwest.

When the suspect was spotted leaving the residence, he allegedly resisted arrest, and assaulted a police officer.
