PREECEVILLE — The constituency office of Sean Wilson is promoting and encouraging individuals to nominate others who are unsung volunteer heroes in their community.
“The idea and purpose of this is to give back to those who give so much of themselves and ask for nothing in return,” stated Wilson. “We want to showcase those in the communities in a fun and positive light.”
Nominations will be accepted until Feb. 28.
“Anybody in the Canora-Pelly constituency can be nominated — from a helpful neighbour to volunteers. There are many very positive things going on in each community. This is a way to help celebrate them. This is a pilot project, and if there is enough interest, we may continue on a monthly basis with the program. Recipients will be selected by a random draw,” stated Kerry Gardner from the Preeceville office of Sean Wilson.
“To date, there has been good support for nominations and we are looking forward to posting our first recipient,” stated a release.
