LINTLAW — The Lintlaw Timberline branch of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation hosted its annual awards and banquet at the Lintlaw Community Hall on Jan. 31.
The supper had approximately 150 in attendance.
Dillon Lindholm, president, presented the awards in large game, bear and fish categories.
In the big game category:
Colter Burtnick won the whitetail deer award for his entry that scored 47 4/8 and for pronghorn antelope, 65 0/8;
Martina Ross-Romanus won the women’s whitetail deer award that scored 120 0/8;
Brooke Steppan, women’s elk, 283 2/8;
Barry Engdahl, elk, 196 5/8;
Brandt Engdahl, youth elk, 72 5/8, and whitetail deer, 147 3/8;
Cierra Bocking, youth mule deer (no score presented), youth moose, 83 6/8, and youth typical whitetail deer, 37 0/8;
Carson Radewetz, youth non-typical white-tailed deer (no score presented).
In the fish category:
Barry Engdahl, perch, 14 inches;
Carson Radewetz, northern pike, 42 inches;
Brinley Lindholm, two entries, youth walleye, 17.5 inches and 15.5 inches;
Liam Bashforth, northern pike, 34 inches, and perch, 11 inches;
Dana Balaski, northern pike, 42 inches.
Brad Radewetz and Brielle Guy won the best trail camera photographs. Dean Bocking and Kristen Lindholm won the best wildlife pictures.
Kelvington School students received recognition for their poster submissions.
Kristin Lindholm was responsible for the slide presentation.
“We would like to thank everyone who attended and supported our club. The club is currently working with the Preeceville and Sturgis Wildlife branches in a revitalization project for Schutte Lake,” said Lisa Brownlee, club representative.
The evening featured bucket draws, door prizes and basket draws that concluded with a dance.
