Two men have been charged, while a warrant has been issued for another, in connection with the suspicious death of a man in The Pas.
Shortly after 2 a.m. on Feb. 27, RCMP in The Pas were called to a report of an assault at a home on Connaught Avenue, and upon arrival, they found a 33-year-old Opaskwayak Cree Nation (OCN) man with life-threatening injuries, and he was taken to hospital, where he later died.
Two suspects – 22-year-old Joey Campbell of Saskatoon and 32-year-old Nicholas Halcrow-Jewels of Thompson – were arrested without incident, and charged with second degree murder.
A warrant has been issued for 30-year-old Draven Lester Mercredi of The Pas, who has ties to Moose Lake, Thompson and The Pas.
