Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? Even if you’re not Irish, it’s always a fun excuse to wear some green, enjoy a drink with friends, and just have a good time.
Being from Saskatchewan, dressing in green is actually pretty easy. Most of us already have the perfect outfit hanging in our closet—just throw on your favourite Saskatchewan Roughriders gear! Riders green fits the occasion perfectly and chances are many of you already wear it proudly any chance you get.
As for me, I’m still deciding which jersey will make the trip. It might be my Riders jersey, but I’m also thinking about breaking out my green retro Minnesota North Stars jersey. Either way, I’ll be dressed for the occasion.
I’ll actually be spending the day in Assiniboia with the Spring Fever Lotto crew. With such a great group there, I’m pretty sure the day will include heading out for a green beverage or two once the work is done. After all, you’ve got to celebrate properly!
I always look forward to the day. It’s one of those simple holidays where people just have fun, share a laugh, and maybe enjoy a festive drink.
