A guilty plea has been entered by a woman charged with manslaughter, in connection with a death on the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.
30-year-old Corrie Hart was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison, in Brandon Court of King’s Bench yesterday (Mon).
However, due to the time she’s already spent in custody, she has 1765 days left to serve.
In March of 2024, Virden RCMP responded to a wellness check at a home on the reserve.
Upon arrival, they discovered a 64-year-old man, dead at the scene.
