STURGIS — From early-morning pancakes to a full day on the trails, the Sturgis Curling Club was buzzing with activity March 14.
The Sturgis Curling Club was a busy hive of activity with a breakfast and a snowmobile derby. The derby drew 85 snowmobilers, starting with a pancake breakfast, followed by registration and an 85-kilometre trek through the scenic Porcupine forest, culminating in a steak supper at the Sturgis Curling Rink.
Approximately 120 breakfasts were sold, and 135 people attended the steak supper.
Landon Rayner won the top highest hand, Ed Ockochinski took second and Paje Reynolds secured third.
Jim Prekaski won the 50/50 raffle, Derek Ryczak took home the cheer basket raffle and Brian Wiwcharuk won a box of spices.
