The Yorkton Terriers scored goals both on the ice and in the community this season.
Through the “Goals for KidSport” initiative, every goal the Terriers scored at Westland Arena during the SJHL regular season generated a $130 donation to Yorkton KidSport. After 28 home games and 124 goals, the total is in — $16,120 raised to help ensure all kids in Yorkton can play sports, regardless of cost.
This marks two seasons of partnership between Yorkton KidSport, their sponsors, and the Terriers. Together, they have now raised more than $31,000 to support local kids and community sports programs.
Yorkton KidSport provides grants to cover registration fees, helping children ages 5 to 18 get out on the field, the court, or the ice.
Thanks to the Terriers and their community-minded sponsors, even more kids will have the chance to play this year.
