On Jan. 20, Mounties say a man was in a parked vehicle on 4th Avenue North when two men wearing face coverings forced him out of the vehicle at gunpoint, placed him in a separate SUV and drove away.
Police spotted an SUV matching the description on Highway 10 heading toward Melville, but it wouldn’t pull over.
The vehicle then hit the ditch, and the suspects were arrested.
A search of the SUV turned up a loaded firearm, a firearm magazine, ammunition, about 88 grams of cocaine, about 88 grams of crystal meth and about 16 grams of fentanyl.
Preston Carroll, 24, of Fort McMurray, Alta., was in Yorkton Provincial Court on March 23, where he was remanded in custody to April 13.
