MELFORT — A Hudson Bay man arrested in connection with a firearms trafficking investigation is off the hook.
Steven Bondy, 58, was in Melfort Court of King’s Bench on March 23, where his charges were stayed by the Crown prosecutor.
In March 2024, RCMP raided a home in the Hudson Bay area and seized 40 rifles, two handguns, about 20 more firearms in various states of disassembly, and more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition.
They also confiscated illegal cigarettes, mint coins and gold jewelry believed to be stolen, as well as small amounts of cocaine and crystal meth.
