Update: The snowfall warning that was issued March 24 for parts of eastern Saskatchewan was lifted on March 26.
The warning was for communities in 45 RMs in eastern Saskatchewan. Environment Canada said snowfall with total amounts of 15-20 centimetres is expected in the affected areas.
"A developing low-pressure system will bring accumulating snowfall to the region starting Wednesday morning [March 25] and continuing through Wednesday evening and overnight. The exact location of the heaviest snow remains uncertain, but significant accumulations are likely in some areas."
Roads and walkways would likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow, the warning states.
The freezing rain warning that was Issued March 25 for Regina and other areas in southern Saskatchewan has also been lifted. Communities within 33 RMs were also affected.
