Two people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, following an incident on Main Street in Dauphin on Mar. 24.
Shortly after 11 p.m. that evening, Dauphin RCMP were called to the scene, on a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle multiple times.
The investigation determined that a vehicle driven by a woman that knew the male victim, had allegedly clipped him with her vehicle, then hit him again, when he got up and tried to get away.
Mounties say the driver then got out of the vehicle and attacked the victim, as he lay on the ground, and a bystander who tried to intervene was also allegedly assaulted by the accused, who took off, and was arrested hours later.
The accused – a 29-year-old Dauphin woman – is in custody, facing ten charges in all, including attempted murder and two counts each of assault and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
