FORT QU’APPELLE — A teenage boy charged in a homicide on Star Blanket Cree Nation is set to return to court later this month as the case continues.
On Feb. 18, File Hills First Nations Police Service was called to a report of a homicide at a home on Star Blanket.
They found an adult male dead and arrested a male teen at the scene.
Police note the accused and the victim were known to each other.
The boy, who cannot be named due to his age, was in Fort Qu’Appelle Provincial Court April 2, charged with second-degree murder. He was remanded in custody to April 16.
