Hey there, I’m Danny Ismond.
I was raised in the beautiful community of Abernethy. Here’s a little background on my hometown that I am so proud of, it’s the home to Motherwell Homestead National Historic Site and where the Len Thompson fishing lures originated. I’ve been at GX94 for over 20 years following my passion for music. For roughly nine months of the year, you’ll find me at a hockey rink near you doing what I love, watching one of my boys. I look forward to hearing from you on the GX94 Morning Show.

Winter, We're Done With You... (But Apparently You're Not Done With Us)
Not that I get a say in it-but I am officially done with winter. Done. Finished. Over it. Last week in Assiniboia felt like a total tease. Seventeen degrees on Thursday, fifteen on Friday... people were out in shorts and t-shirts like it was mid-May instead of mid-March. You could almost hear everyone collectively thin...

Hello Spring! Sunshine, Calves, And Longer Days Ahead
Happy Spring!!! Today marks the official arrival of spring, and it sure feels like it too. The last few days have been absolutely beautiful, with sunshine and milder temperatures that give us a little taste of what's ahead. After a long winter, it's hard not to feel a boost of energy and excitement this time of year. N...

Passing Lanes = Peace Of Mind On Saskatchewan Highways
If there's one thing I've really come to appreciate on our Saskatchewan highways, it's passing lanes. Seriously... I love them. It's actually hard to remember what some of these stretches were like before they had them. The drives from Fort Qu'Appelle to Balgonie, Yorkton to Melville, Yorkton to Langenburg, or Canora t...
