SHA announces pediatric vaccine appointments can be booked Tuesday, administration set for Wednesday

The Saskatchewan Health Authority provided details on when appointments can be booked for the COVID-19 pediatric vaccine for kids aged 5-11, as well as where the vaccine will be available.

Parent or guardian consent is required before a child can receive the vaccine.

The SHA will start accepting online and over-the-phone appointments tomorrow (Tuesday, November 23) at 8 a.m.

Administering the vaccine with parental consent is set to begin Wednesday (Nov. 24) in Saskatoon and Regina, in smaller communities Thursday (Nov. 25), and in the Far North Friday (Nov. 26).

The SHA notes clinic availability is subject to transportation or weather-related delays.

Appointments can be made by calling 1-833-SASKVAX (727-5829) or online.

Over 112-thousand doses of the pediatric vaccine are expected to arrive in the province.

Clinics will also be held at more than 100 schools in Saskatchewan.
