Swan River man charged in Assault and Break-Ins

Swan River RCMP have a arrested a man in connection with incident in the town on Sunday and Monday.

Just before midnight on Sunday, Mounties say a man broke into a home on Seventh Avenue North, assaulting a man, and stealing a cellphone and bicycle, before fleeing the scene.

The victim, who knew his assailant, suffered minor injuries.

Then, early Monday morning, the same suspect broke into that home again, smashing items, and stealing a hammer before leaving the home, and going to a Main Street business, where he allegedly smashed two parked vehicles, and windows of the business, with flying glass injuring a female employee.

37-year-old Jeremy Gingras faces numerous charges, including Assault and Uttering Threats.
