Court Appearance for Bjorkdale Man Facing Drug and Weapon Charges

A Bjorkdale man was back in court yesterday (Tue), in connection with the search of an Archerwill residence in March of last year.

Mounties found quantities of LSD, crystal meth, OxyContin and other assorted pills, as well as cash, ammunition, and various weapons, including a taser, machete, and an illegally-modified firearm.

55-year-old Rudi Betthel, who also faces similar charges, stemming from the search of a Bjorkdale home earlier the same month, had his matters adjourned for a bail hearing on November 7th in Saskatoon.

In August, his co-accused, 39-year-old Holly Schweitzer of Archerwill, was found guilty of several charges, and she’ll be in Rose Valley on November 8th, for sentencing.
