Standing Buffalo First Nation Man Charged with Attempted Murder Gets New Court Date

An update on the trial of a Standing Buffalo First Nation man charged with Attempted Murder, following an alleged assault on the reserve.

In June of 2021, Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP responded to a report of an injured woman at a home on the reserve, and she was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The trial for 24-year-old Christopher Maple ran from April 24th through May 5th in Regina Court of King’s Bench.

The matter was back in Regina Court of King’s Bench yesterday (Tue), where it was adjourned to October 27th.
