Russell RCMP are investigating a violent home invasion at a home north of Rossburn, that left an elderly woman woman injured.
Around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21st, Mounties were called to a report of a home invasion in progress at a rural property, where police say three unknown suspects – two masked males, and a female described as being in her mid-twenties, gained entry to the home, and assaulted a 76-year-old woman, before the males fled the scene, when a family member intervened.
The female suspect was briefly detained, but she fled before police arrived, and it’s believed that she was picked up in a grey vehicle, by the male suspects.

RCMP say no weapons were used in the incident, and the victim was treated and released from hospital.
