A guilty plea from a Regina woman, charged in connection with an amber alert.

37-year-old Kerry Keewatin was in Regina Monday, where she pled guilty to two charges, including Abduction of a Person Under 16, while two other counts were stayed by the Crown

She was handed an eight-month conditional sentence, to be followed by 16 months probation.

In August of 2022, Regina Police were dispatched to a report of a woman taking her two-year-old son, whom she did not have custody of.

The suspect was arrested later that day in Regina, and the child was found unharmed.
