Dauphin RCMP Make Arrests Following Traffic Stops

Dauphin RCMP made three arrests thanks to traffic stops within the city.

On November 17 at approximately 4:35 pm, RCMP patrolling 9th Avenue South East in Dauphin conducted a traffic stop leading to the arrest of Dillon Lebel, 26, and Lorne McKinnon, 55.

The duo, involved in an earlier theft, was found in possession of weapons, 90 grams of cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription drugs, ammunition, and cash.

Both have been charged with various offenses and are scheduled to appear in court on January 9, 2024.

In another incident on November 28 at approximately 1:15 am, RCMP on patrol arrested five adults during a traffic stop on 1st Avenue South East.

The search of the vehicle revealed weapons, cash, prescription drugs, and a small quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine.

Sean Bouchie, 42, faces multiple charges and is remanded into custody, while Chantelle Ferland, 36, was released on a release order. The other three occupants were released without charges.

On November 29 at approximately 2:15 am, RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Main Street South, resulting in the arrest of Diondre Nicholson, 18.

Nicholson, driving with a suspended license, was found with a loaded firearm, weapons, cash, and 62 grams of cocaine. Facing over 10 charges, including Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Nicholson was remanded into custody.
