New Ukrainian Catholic Bishop Appointed for Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan has a new Ukrainian Catholic Bishop.

Father Michael Smolinski was appointed to the position by Pope Francis today (Thu).

Smolinski was born in Saskatoon, and until about a year ago, was serving at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Saskatoon.

Saskatchewan has been without a Ukrainian Catholic Bishop since Bryan Bayda became Bishop of Toronto and Eastern Canada, last year.
