Arrest made in connection with Yorkton murder investigation

An arrest has been made, in connection with a death in Yorkton.

On Thursday morning, Yorkton RCMP were called to a home on Sixth Avenue North, to conduct a welfare check, and upon arrival at the scene, they found the body of a man, who has since been identified as William Byblow.

Police had initially been seeking 61-year-old Donna Spilchen, in order to confirm her safety, however yesterday, she was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder, in Byblow’s death.

Spilchen remains in custody, and will make her first appearance in Yorkton Provincial Court on Monday.
