Three people have been charged following a police pursuit on Wednesday morning, that led to the seizure of drugs and cash.
Around 10:40 Wednesday morning, Ste Rose RCMP tried to conduct a traffic stop on the Ebb and Flow First Nation, but the vehicle fled, before leaving the road, with the occupants of the vehicle attempting to hide in the bushes off Road 462, north of Plumas.
Two were arrested right away, and the third individual was tracked into the nearby woods with the assistance of a police dog, and arrested, with a search of that suspect leading to the seizure of over four-thousand dollars in cash.
A bag believed to belong to the suspects was found near the vehicle, and Mounties found about 957 grams of methamphetamine, 223 grams of cocaine, and 30 grams of crack cocaine inside.
33-year-old Edward Sutherland remains in custody, awaiting a court date on several charges, including two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Flight From a Peace Officer, Resisting Arrest and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old woman and 25-year-old man were each charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Resisting Arrest, and they were released on conditions, to appear in Dauphin Court on February 27th.
