YORKTON — Legacy Co-op is giving back to the community in a big way after raising $13,558.53 through its 2025 Fuel Good Day campaign.
The annual event took place September 16 at Legacy Co-op locations in Yorkton, Kamsack, Churchbridge and Theodore, where 10 cents from every litre of fuel sold was donated to support local organizations across the Parkland region.
This year’s proceeds were shared among four community groups: the Wildlife Rescue Society of Saskatchewan, the Churchbridge Aquatic Centre, Creative Kids Canada and the Theodore ABC Daycare.
- The Wildlife Rescue Society of Saskatchewan received $6,829.03 to support its provincial Wild Line service and help launch its new children’s education program, Wild Child.
- The Churchbridge Aquatic Centre collected $2,032.45 to go toward a new pool liner for the town’s public pool.
- Creative Kids Canada was granted $1,969.80, which will help cover the costs of dance, art, and music lessons for children in the Kamsack area.
- The Theodore ABC Daycare received $2,727.25 to help fund facility renovations aimed at expanding its capacity and improving services for families in Theodore, Springside and Yorkton.
Legacy Co-op said the success of Fuel Good Day reflects the generosity of Parkland-area residents and the dedication of Co-op staff who volunteered during the event.
“Fuel Good Day is a great example of what we can achieve when our members and communities come together,” the organization said in a statement. “Thanks to everyone who filled up, volunteered, or grabbed a burger — your support made a difference.”
Since its inception, Fuel Good Day has become one of Legacy Co-op’s signature community initiatives, helping fund local projects and programs that strengthen the region.
