The Christmas season is in full swing, which means it’s time to watch all those classic Christmas movies and find some new favourites. As a Hallmark movie enjoyer, I always look forward to what they have each year, always hoping for something to add to my yearly watch list. This year, A Keller Christmas Vacation is the standout.
The movie stars three familiar faces: Jonathan Bennett (Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls), Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), and Eden Sher (Sue Heck in The Middle). They play adult siblings who, along with their parents, take a river cruise down the Danube in Germany to celebrate the holidays together. What sets this one apart is not just the picturesque locations, but the authentic family dynamics at its heart. Each sibling, and even the parents, are dealing with their own personal challenges, from relationship troubles to career troubles. Instead of glossing over these struggles, the movie includes them into the story, making the characters even more relatable.
One thing that really makes A Keller Christmas Vacation great is the believable chemistry among the three leads. Hallmark films don’t always get sibling relationships quite right, but this one truly nails it. The love/hate relationship, the teasing, and the moments of heartfelt support all ring true. You’d think they were actually siblings!
True to Hallmark Christmas movie tradition, this one’s got plenty of feel-good moments. At just 90 minutes, it’s the perfect length for a cozy evening, offering both warmth and a touch of holiday spirit. If you’re searching for a new Christmas movie to enjoy this season, A Keller Christmas Vacation is a nice addition to the Hallmark lineup that’s well worth watching.
