The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s under-20 squad picked up its second straight win at the 2025 Viking Cup in Camrose, Alberta.
Team SJHL rolled to a 7–2 victory over the Team Czechia Selects, one day after opening the tournament with a 6–2 win over the Midland University Warriors. Estevan Bruins forward Noah Asmundson led the way offensively with two goals.
Rylan Williams of Estevan, Anthony Campbell of the Battlefords, Bo Eisner and Zayden Sadlemyer of Melfort, and Josh Sale of Weyburn also found the back of the net for the SJHL side.
Between the pipes, Humboldt Broncos goaltender Brady Holtvogt turned aside 30 shots to earn the win.
The SJHL will have Tuesday off before returning to the ice on New Year’s Day Wednesday to face the host Augustana Vikings.
Elsewhere at the tournament on Monday, the SAIT Trojans shut out Midland 8–0. Tuesday’s schedule sees Midland take on Team Czechia, while the Trojans face the Vikings.
